I'm a musician of sorts, and this space is where various projects that I am working on or have completed that I want to make accessible to the public can be found.
(Republic of) Georgian Church Music
I have translated a number of pieces Georgian Liturgical Music into English. I do not know Georgian, but I am familiar with the parts of the services and therefore have some idea of what is being said. I have used the translation that my own parish uses, since it is the one with which I am most familiar. Instead of changing the words to suit the music, I have altered the music - where necessary - to suit the words.
I have made available some sheet music that we use (and need) for OCF services. Some of it is scans of real pages, so what you will find is zip files containing large jpeg images. Typically we do Daily Vespers (with and without a priest,) Advent Paraclesis, Paraclesis to St. Nectarios of Aegina, and once a year, Bright Week festivities.
